Entering A New Chapter & Invitation to Partner With Me
For anyone who knows me this message probably comes with an “It’s about time this happened”. This fall I will be traveling to Europe to walk the Camino de Santiago again in August & September and then in mid-October I’ll be on pilgrimage to Southeastern France. When I return from these trips I will be entering a new chapter of my musical journey and will be diving into life as a freelancer/contract musician! While it is bittersweet to leave my full-time work in parish ministry I am SOO EXCITED to see where the Lord takes me on this journey and have a great feeling about what the future holds.
This summer I had the exciting opportunity to open for the Spirit of the Vine Christian Music Festival on July 2nd at Sovereign Estates Winery in Waconia, MN, this was a first for me to play in a ‘concert’ setting. Later this fall, between my 2 pilgrimages I will be headed down to New Orleans, LA for a Catholic Musician Retreat hosted by The Vigil Project which I am going to use as a time to ask Lord for his vision for my ministry going forward, networking with musicians from all over the nation (and world), and allowing the Lord to show me his love in an ever deeper way. As I have been preparing and praying for this upcoming retreat, I have felt called to invite friends and followers to partner with me in raising the funds needed to attend. The whole trip will cost around $1,400 between the retreat fees and my flights, so any amount donated would mean the world to me as I enter the realm of full-time music ministry on my own as a freelancer. Starting November 1, 2023 I will have real time to work on my own songwriting and music and in addition to that I will have expanded availability to say yes to more booking requests.
